It was seriously SO dumb.
I know. But than again it did have a good fear factor going through out the movie.

I guess it depends on the theater you seen it at. The one I was at, people were really scared. The whole begining was boring, at lease i thought.But it was still better than that Rob Zombie Halloween.
Haha I ‘spose. The stuff that scares me is like.. serial killing, kidnapping, etc. :x
I find that stuff more intresting than scary. But that is just me. But real life haunting is my breaking point. Maybe that is why this movie struck a chord.
This wasn’t based on a true story/real footage was it?

No it wasn’t! At the end of the film, it explicitly states that Paranormal Activity was not based on any real events, and that any resemblance to reality is pure coincidence.
On another note, I thought the film was great, perfect amount of build-up for suspense. It’s amazing that with such simple techniques, such as a light turning off and on, foot steps, a darkened doorway/hallway, the rustling of sheets, can scare the bejeezus out of people. I personally loved it, simply on the way it’s done. Although, if you haven’t heard of them, google it’s alternate endings! The one in cinemas was not the original end.
